Fuente : Idealista The 10 decoration trends for 2020 and for all tastes Nude, beige, terracotta or chocolate brown colors will be key this year Living room with decoration trends for this year / Houzz Living room with decoration trends for this year / Houzz Comments Author: Writing January 21, 2020, 7:47 Over the next few months we will see kitchens in dark tones with wooden furniture, rooms with Nude, beige, terracotta and chocolate brown colors and houses where the plants will have a leading role, as well as pineapple or cactus as a decorating element. We tell you what are the 10 great trends that will dominate the home decoration in 2020 by the hand of Houzz magazine. The kitchen In the kitchen, dark tones in furniture and wood as an accent material. In 2020 we will see many kitchens in anthracite and black in which the wood will be used to look for contrast, for example in open shelves or on the countertop of an island. Project: Susanna Cots Bathroom In the bathroom, round mirrors and basins of organic lines are imposed in 2020 in order to achieve a more suggestive and serene space.   Project: Elisabet Brion interior designer The living room The ceiling of the room takes center stage. Either highlighting the moldings or painting the entire roof in one color - this option is perfect for the most daring.   Project: ARTEFACTUM INTERIORISMO The bedroom Blues, beige and gray will dominate the decoration of the bedroom looking for more serene spaces and in line with the growing interest in nature, sustainability, etc.   Project: Lätt Study The living room sofa Gray sofas of modern style and straight lines are trending. In reality, they have never ceased to be, but the renewed interest in minimalist, sober, relaxing spaces, in the face of a more maximalist decoration has returned them interest, as we see from the images saved by the users of Houzz Spain.   Project: Alejandro León The wallpaper Wallpapers of plant motifs and moldings, especially on the headboard wall, gain adherents.   Project: Jordi Folch The colors of the walls Nude, beige, terracotta and chocolate brown will be the trend colors in home decoration in 2020. These are natural and calm colors that arise as a natural response to daily stress and intense exposure to mobiles and technology in general.   Project: MARISA GALLO Decoration accessories The pineapple, which triumphed a couple of years ago as an accessory in home decoration, is back followed closely by the cactus.   Project: The Window Film Company UK Ltd The plants The plants colonize the house; especially in small pots that require little maintenance, such as crasas.   Project: Javier Bravo Madrid The sideboard is back Yes, the sideboard is definitely made with a hole in the home (in the living room and the entrance in particular) for being a versatile and functional piece. Elpais.com In addition to the climate and orientation, there are two factors that have a decisive influence, according to the data of the Ministry of Development, in the energy consumption of your home's heating: the date on which it was built and whether it is a flat in a block or a single-family house. Of course, the chalets spend much more energy to warm up than an apartment. The age of the building, meanwhile, determines the type of materials, the enclosures, insulators, etc. that were used in its construction and that can cause heat leaks. Most of the buildings in Spain were built between 1961 and 2007, and it is precisely those that have the highest average energy consumption for heating; an expense that is reduced considerably in the later constructions and that is more moderate in the previous ones. Against the defects of the materials there is little that can be done without getting into reforms, but there are eight tips that can be followed so that our house consumes less energy and, incidentally, save on the heating bill. 1. Insulate doors and windows with weatherstripping About 25% of the heat of the house leaking through doors and windows. In addition, they generate that small stream of air that causes us not to know where the cold is coming from. To avoid this, an expert will first recommend that you change the windows as soon as possible with double or triple insulation. If it is not within your budget, there is a solution for which you will not need to call any handyman. It involves placing some strips in the hole that forms between the leaves of the window and the frame, on the hinges, or on the rails of the sliding doors. save heating For the window frames you can use polyurethane foam strips that cover spaces up to five millimeters thick and 15 millimeters wide. There are also doubles, which are the best reinforcement for the side of the hinges. For heavier doors and windows it is advisable to go directly to the more resistant and compact rubber cords. There are two types, according to the firm that draws the end of the strip: profile P and profile E. The first is for larger leaks, for example on the sides of the windows. The E is perfect for sliding window rails. Finally, for the slit that is at the bottom of the door, foam rolls can be used, which are fixed on both sides and prevent the current from passing, or finials with swab or rubber, depending on the floor, for doors They look outside. 2. Purge the radiators It will do no good if we put the heating on and it is at full throttle, if the radiators are full of air. The boiler heats the water in the heating circuit and this, in turn, transfers the heat to the plates that are responsible for tuning the room. Over time, heating circuits fill with air, which does not conduct heat with the same efficiency as water. To get that air out, you have to open the cap of each of the radiators (it is usually located on the opposite side of the cap used to turn the radiator on or off), by turning the screw with a screwdriver. Close it as soon as the air stops flowing and water starts to flow out. It is convenient to do the operation with a handyman. When finishing with all radiators, check that the boiler pressure remains at the level recommended by the manufacturer (usually between 1 and 1.5 bar). 3. Do not cover the sun inputs The operation in the cold months is the opposite of the summer months. If in July and August, the windows should open at night, after keeping them closed in the hottest hours, in winter you have to take advantage of the last ray of light that can enter the house and close the blinds or curtains as soon as the sun disappears. save heating Therefore, it is advisable to keep the space around the windows clear, so that there are furniture or plants that prevent the entry of light. 4. Ventilate: five minutes is enough The ventilation of the house should not aim to eliminate odors, but to renew the air. To get the latter, just open the windows five minutes in the morning, 10 if they are very small. At that time, experts calculate, a medium-sized room, and more if there are windows that make current, the environment is filled with the necessary oxygen. With regard to the former, it is better to prevent: use the hood of the kitchen (make sure it works correctly), do not use chemical perfumes, wash the textiles as often as necessary ... 5. Put an ivy on your balcony save heating Deciduous plants in temperate climates, such as in Spain, provide shade in summer and, in winter, protect from the cold while allowing the sun to warm the walls. It happens not only with trees, but also with vines, whose stems act as a natural layer against low temperatures.   According to the Spanish Association of Garden Centers, a good disposition of these plants can reduce energy consumption by up to 25%. If you have a choice (a balcony, a terrace or if you live on a ground floor), grow a leafy vine and guide it through the outer walls of your house. 6. Change the textiles While cotton knitted with the calico technique is ideal for the summer months, winter has its own fabrics that keep our body heat and improve our sense of comfort. On the bed, you can replace the linen or the calico with cotton sheets with satin finish, with a more velvety touch and a more compact fabric that keeps heat better. Even warmer are the flannel sheets. save heating The textiles in the living room, have the ability to provide a warm environment not only in sight. Blankets of natural hair are the ones that shelter the most, also if you sit on them, but the most ethical options such as artificial hair or wool provide sufficient doses of heat. The floor is the constructive element with the greatest loss of energy, especially stone. Although the parquet is together with the carpet of the less cold pavements, also in this case the carpets help conserve the heat of the room. The curtains can also change in winter to thicker models that when closed at night insulate better from the windows. 7. Close the doors The goal is to create cameras inside the house and avoid air currents that increase the feeling of cold. Keeping the doors closed also helps the heat emitted by the radiators to be better concentrated in each room. 8. The trickster of decoration Imagine a room with heating at a temperature of 21 degrees, high ceilings, white lights projecting from superior halogens, large windows to a winter landscape, marble floors and functional furniture made of steel and plastic pipes, as a piece of Eames As much as the thermostat says that the environment is over 20 degrees, the thermal sensation decreases only with the vision and touch of the elements of the room. The decoration - beyond textiles - does not in itself have the capacity to increase the temperature of a room, but to generate sensations that are related to cold or heat. save heating To create a warm stay, two main tips: if you have the option of changing the covers of your home seats, use dark fabrics for winter evenings, such as chocolate, black or brown green (if it is velvet you will thank twice). The second suggestion is that you play with low light points, which emphasize the corners instead of the entire stay.
